08 September 2006 - The 18th installment of King of the Ring was a huge success in their new venue,
the Hampton University Convocation Center on Sept. 2nd. Thank you for who came
out to support the event, especially considering hurricane Ernesto swept
thru area less than 24 hours beforehand. The winners were, Sherwin Cadavis and
Carl Staley from East Wind Academy, TJ Goodrow and Brian Colette of Eastern
Academy, Joey Allen from Universal Fighting Systems, Bethany Marshall from
Modern American MMA, Derek Gillispie from Team Aguirre, Mike Smith won the 205lb
MMA state title belt, Chase Walden from Hybrid Academy, Omar Hassan from NBS
Gym, Simon Cooke and Arthur Rofi and Michael Phillips from Team VBAMA (Mike won
the "fight of the night" award in addition to winning the 145lb state MMA title
belt). See you all November 11th for the next "King of the Ring".

11 August 2006 - King of the Ring fight night is upon us. King of the Ring will be held on 02 September 2006 at the Hampton Convocation Center in Hampton, VA. For information concerning this event please go to the King of the Ring information page OR contact the studio at 757-468-6488.
06 August 2006 - We have moved! The new Virginia Beach Academy of Martial Arts has relocated to a larger studio affording us the ability to offer more training room for all of our courses. The new address is 3440 Chandler Creek Road Virginia Beach, VA 23453. For directions to the studio click here.
